Northern Finland is a land of fairy-tale winter—deep snow, star-filled sky and dancing
northern lights.
Unforgettable views, snow-laden trees, mountain streams, waterfalls, the purest air and water on the planet, and wilderness that in many parts of Europe exists only in memories—all experienced in a slow rhythm: no rush, no pressure, no rigid schedule.
We will absorb Nature with all our senses—hiking, admiring its beauty, tasting, and listening. We’ll immerse ourselves in the moment, allowing us to feel its healing and soothing power.
We’ll visit Lapland’s and Northern Ostrobothnia’s most breathtaking natural treasures:
Riisitunturi National Park: endless taiga vistas, pristine frozen Lake Kitkajärvi, the slopes of Ruka ski resort, and fantastical snow-laden trees known in Finnish as tykky.
Oulanka National Park: mountain streams of the Kitkajoki River, suspension bridges, stunning scenery, and the white-throated dipper (Finnish: koskikara). We'll hike part of the famous Karhunkierros Trail.
Korouoma Canyon: spectacular icefalls, Finland’s top ice-climbing destination; 130‑metre ancient rock walls and majestic views.
Each location is perfect for nature photography and birdwatching enthusiasts.
